Warsaw Foodhaton 2019 – Let’s beat up the food waste!

On the 27-28th of November Warsaw became the capital of #zerowaste movement! Warsaw Foodhaton 2019 – Let’s beat up the food waste! was a sum up of the project RIS Food Solutions carried out by Maspex and EIT Food including mentoring of students’ teams from different European countries of innovative projects. Teams had to prepare final presentations of their ideas and pitch them in front of the audience and Jury for 2000 euro and 1000 euro.


The 1st prize for the most innovative idea and most attractive presentation went to Algdeha the Turkish team. Mert Furkan Filizoglu and Mehmet Can Sucu from Algdeha want to provide sustainable solutions with the algal products to the industries dependent on fish. In this way, they create a sustainable alternative for people, lower CO2 emission, save wild fish and try to leave a better world for future generations.
